Turn a topic into a ready-to-post Instagram carousel
Updated: July 2026
Give ReelDrop a topic and it drafts a complete Instagram carousel: slide-by-slide text in colors you choose, editable before anything publishes. It's for people who know what they want to say but lose an evening every time they lay it out by hand. Free accounts get one carousel a month.
Describe the carousel
Enter a topic, or grab one of the suggestions if you're stuck. Pick how many slides you want, the type of content, and a color palette so the result matches your feed instead of a template gallery.
Generate and edit the slides
ReelDrop generates the slide content and shows it in an Instagram-style preview. Every slide is editable, so you can sharpen the hook, cut the slide that says nothing, and fix any claim the AI was too confident about.
Post it or schedule it
When the slides look right, publish immediately or drop the carousel into your schedule like any other post. It publishes through the official Instagram API.
Fix one slide without touching the rest
Each slide gets its own card in the outline step: a hook line plus bullet points you can rewrite, add to, or delete. If slide four missed the point, regenerate slide four and leave the others alone. Nothing regenerates unless you ask it to, so the edits you made by hand stay put. You can also drag slides into a different order, switch the cover slide off if you'd rather open cold, and put your own photo on the cover so the first thing people see is a face instead of a headline.
Pick a theme, describe one, or upload your own look
The theme step decides how the slides look. Browse the theme library by category, write a description of the style you want, or upload up to four reference images and let ReelDrop pull the palette and style notes from them. The analysis shows you what it extracted before anything generates. Screenshots of your own past carousels work well as references, and if your feed already has a look you've spent a year building, that option is the one that protects it.
Weekly educational carousels without the Canva session
A career coach turns one client question a week into a carousel: type the question as the topic, edit the generated slides to match her actual advice, schedule for Wednesday. What used to be a two-hour design session is a twenty-minute edit.
A language teacher's Tuesday
A Spanish teacher posts one educational carousel a week. Tuesday morning she types '7 mistakes English speakers make with ser and estar', sets it to eight slides, and picks her usual theme from the library. The draft comes back with a bullet on slide five she flatly disagrees with, so she rewrites it, regenerates slide two because the hook was limp, and drags the strongest mistake up front. She picks a caption from the generated options, keeps two of the suggested hashtags, and drops the carousel into Thursday's slot. About fifteen minutes, most of it spent arguing with slide five.
Frequently asked questions
How many carousels can I generate?
The free Starter plan includes 1 AI carousel a month. Creator Pro and Agency Scale include unlimited carousel generation.
Can I edit the slides before posting?
Yes, every slide. The generator gives you a draft, not a final answer. You can rewrite any slide and preview the whole carousel as it will appear on Instagram.
Can I control how it looks?
You set the slide count, content type, and color palette before anything generates, and every slide stays editable afterward. Nothing about the look is locked in.
Can I schedule a generated carousel?
Yes. Generated carousels go through the same scheduler as everything else and auto-publish via the official Instagram API.
Is this live yet?
ReelDrop is pre-launch. The waitlist is open at reeldrop.io, and paid plan pricing will be announced at launch.
How many slides can I generate?
You set the count before generating, anywhere from 3 to 10 slides. If the topic only needs five, use five. The generator fills the count you ask for, so a padded carousel is a slide-count problem, not an AI problem.
Can it make a carousel from a YouTube video?
Yes. The curation content type lets you paste a YouTube link or any other resource URL, and ReelDrop drafts the slide outlines from what you added. It's the fastest way to turn a long video you already made into a post without retyping your own points.
Does it handle the caption and hashtags too?
When you post or schedule a generated carousel, ReelDrop offers caption options labeled with tone and character count, plus hashtag suggestions grouped by size. It caps the selection at three hashtags on purpose. Thirty tags under a carousel reads as desperate, and it doesn't seem to work anyway.
Can I use my exact brand colors?
Yes, by hex code. The topic step has optional brand color swatches where you type or pick the exact values, and the slides generate around them. Leave the swatches empty and the theme you chose decides the palette instead.
ReelDrop handles scheduling, AI carousels, captions, and DM automation in one place. The Starter plan is free.
