ManyChat is not really a ReelDrop competitor so much as the thing ReelDrop's DM feature gets measured against. Keyword triggers, comment-to-DM flows, a visual flow builder, and official Meta partner status make it the default for serious DM funnels, and most of the comment SHOP to get the link campaigns you have seen run on it.
Two things changed the comparison in 2026. ManyChat cut its free plan from 1,000 contacts to 25 Active Contacts a month on 2 March, and its paid tiers now meter people rather than messages: $14 for 250 Active Contacts, $29 for 2,500. ReelDrop meters automations instead, so a post that goes unexpectedly well does not move you up a tier.
The other difference is the one ManyChat cannot close. It has no post publishing, so running it means running a scheduler alongside it. ReelDrop schedules the Reel and attaches its DM automation in the same step. That is worth less than it sounds if your funnels branch, because ReelDrop has no flow builder and ManyChat's is the best on Instagram.
